For Parents & Caregivers: Help your pre-reader become aware of the smaller sounds that make up words. Play rhyming games; sing songs (each syllable equals a musical note); and play a game leaving out the sounds of words (example: Bat minus "buh" sounds like ... ? answer= at!)
